Vegetarian Restaurant in Ubud: The Friendly Kind

Good vegetarian food shouldn’t feel like an afterthought.

We’ll be straight about what FLOCK is. We’re not a strictly vegetarian kitchen — we serve rendang and fried chicken too, and we’re not going to pretend otherwise. What we are is properly vegetarian-friendly, and for most tables that’s the better thing. If you’re hunting for a vegetarian restaurant in Ubud where the meat-free plates are genuinely good, rather than one sad bowl parked at the bottom of the menu, you’re in the right place.

What to Order If You’re Skipping the Meat

Because our menu has to please a whole table, the vegetarian options have to earn their spot next to everything else. So they get the same care, not leftover effort.

A few we’d point you to:

● Our plant-based tempeh bowl — protein-rich, properly Balinese, and filling

● Wholesome bowls built around fresh, local vegetables

Everything’s made in our kitchen with local produce, which is the difference between a vegetable plate you tolerate and one you actually want. Have a look at the full menu before you come.

If You’re Fully Vegan, Ask Us

We’ll be honest here too: FLOCK is vegetarian-friendly first, not a dedicated vegan spot.

That said, some dishes are vegan, and others we can adapt. Tell our team what you’re after when you order and they’ll point you to the best options rather than guessing for you.

Nobody at the Table Has to Compromise

This is the real reason a vegetarian-friendly place beats a strict one for most groups. The vegetarian in your party gets a plate that’s actually good. Everyone else orders whatever they like. And you all eat together, in one place, no negotiation, no splitting up to find somewhere that works.

Our room in central Ubud (Jl. Jatayu) is bright, roomy and walk-in-friendly, open morning to night — easy to fold around a yoga class, a market wander, or a slow afternoon.

If Eating Well Is the Plan

Meat-free is often part of a bigger goal: eating a little better while you’re here. We’ve written more on that — where to eat healthy in Ubud, and our take on conscious dining — if that’s your wider plan.

And if you want a drink to match, our house-brewed kombucha is bright, fizzy, and made right here.

Eat Well, Meat Optional

So if a vegetarian restaurant in Ubud is what you typed into the search bar, here’s the honest version: come to a vegetarian-friendly one, where the plants are done properly and nobody at the table loses out.

Order a bowl, pour a kombucha, take your time.
